What is estadio de la condomina?

Estadio de la Condomina is a football stadium located in the city of Murcia, Spain. It opened in 1924 and was the home stadium of Real Murcia Club de Fútbol until 2006, when the club moved to the Estadio Nueva Condomina.

The capacity of the stadium was 16,800 spectators. It was known for its unique oval shape and its prominent location on a hill overlooking the city. Over the years, the stadium underwent several renovations and modernizations.

In 1997, the stadium was damaged by an earthquake that struck the region, but it was eventually restored and reopened in 2000. However, due to safety concerns and the need for a larger, more modern stadium, Real Murcia decided to move to the Estadio Nueva Condomina in 2006.

Since then, Estadio de la Condomina has been mostly unused, although it has occasionally been used for smaller sporting and cultural events. In recent years, there have been proposals to redevelop the site as a public park or cultural center.
